Timers are the brain of your system, telling your sprinklers what day, what time and exactly how much to water. Toro timers are as easy to program as an alarm clock.
Install your timer in a convenient place. Easy access and good light make it easier to change the program. Just inside the garage door or in a carport may be convenient. Just remember not to use the same power circuit as your house air conditioner, or install near a Gas Pool/Spa Heater and never on a power circuit that is operated by a timer, such as a swimming pool cleaner/pump.
